Senior Product Manager, Tax

Holistiplan provides award-winning software built for financial advisors, focused originally on tax planning but expanding to insurance and estate planning as well. We’re known for our industry-leading tactical tax planning tools, including our Tax Report, Scenario Analysis features, and a variety of Explainer reports, all of which help advisors quickly make sense of complex tax situations and allow for insights that enhance financial planning for their clients.
As we continue to enhance our platform, we’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead and shape the future of our flagship product.
Position Overview:
We’re seeking a Senior Product Manager with deep expertise in tax and financial planning to drive the strategy and execution of our tax-related products. This role requires strong judgment, strategic thinking, and the ability to simplify technical topics for financial advisors. You’ll work closely with engineers, designers, and tax professionals to build software that makes tax planning more accessible and valuable for advisors and their clients.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Own the Tax product strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
- Translate complex tax concepts into intuitive, advisor-friendly software solutions by collaborating with customers, engineers, designers, and other internal stakeholders.
- Engage directly with customers and users to understand their workflows, pain points, and opportunities.
- Prioritize and make trade-offs to deliver impactful features that balance long-term vision with immediate value.
- Communicate product decisions and tax-related insights in clear, compelling ways—both internally and externally (including occasional webinars and conferences).
- Stay up-to-date on important tax code changes to ensure timeliness and accuracy within tax products.
- Take responsibility for measurable, successful outcomes for both customers and Holistiplan.
Required Qualifications
- CFPⓇ credential with a strong background as a financial advisor.
- Deep experience in tax subjects.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong judgment and decision-making to balance user needs, business impact, and technical feasibility.
- Ownership mentality to take responsibility for delivering successful outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Holistiplan as a financial advisor or tax professional.
- CPA credential or experience with tax compliance and planning.
- Experience collaborating with engineers and designers to build and ship software.
- Client-facing experience in financial advisory preferred.
