About the role
We’re looking for a QA Engineer who takes a proactive approach to quality and testing. You’ll collaborate with engineers, product managers, and the QA Manager to shape features from early discussions through release. As part of a growing QA team, you’ll own testing for a focused product area such as Tax, Insurance & Estate, or Platform, ensuring quality from design through delivery. By understanding the day-to-day workflows of financial planners, you’ll act as a user advocate, identifying risks early and ensuring a smooth, reliable experience. You’ll also build automated UI and API tests to strengthen regression coverage and help the team release with confidence. This is a fully remote position primarily open to candidates based in Latin or South America.
What you’ll do
- Partner with engineers and product managers to plan, test, and release high-quality features
- Identify risk areas early through exploratory and scenario-based testing
- Ensure comprehensive coverage of new features across integrations, edge cases, and broader non-functional areas
- Write and maintain automated UI and API tests using Playwright with Python
- Create and maintain reusable test cases in a test management system
- Report defects with clear reproduction steps, logs, and impact
- Track quality metrics and contribute to continuous improvement of QA practices
What you’ll bring
- 3+ years of experience in QA for modern web applications
- Ability to analyze requirements and define clear acceptance criteria in collaboration with product and engineering
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering reliable, maintainable test coverage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, ready for daily collaboration
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and passion for improving product quality
- Experience working in SaaS or financial technology environments
- Experience building and maintaining automated UI and API tests using modern frameworks like Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress
- Experience contributing to CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) or improving test reliability in automation suites
- Exposure to Docker or containerized test environments
Nice to have
- Experience testing data-driven workflows, including data imports, calculations, and visualizations for accuracy and consistency
- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, or Pytest requests
- Strong Python skills for building and maintaining automated test scripts
- Familiarity with AI-assisted tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate test development and improve code quality
- Proficiency with test management platforms (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr) for documenting and tracking test coverage
