The Protection Snapshot is a new tab within the Holistiplan P&C Insurance report that your advisors already use. It displays property and liability insurance data in chart form, alongside the financial plan data already in the platform. No new data is collected from advisors. No recommendations are generated.
The Protection Snapshot shows advisors a visual summary of insurance data they already have. All copy is observational. Advisors control what is shared with clients. Nothing in this feature changes the scope of what Holistiplan does.
The Protection Snapshot tab adds two charts to the existing P&C Insurance report:
Compares the dwelling limit on home and landlord policies to an estimated replacement cost based on Cotality (CoreLogic) data or an advisor-entered estimate.
Compares total liability coverage (umbrella plus underlying home, landlord, and auto limits) to the household's at-risk asset value, the portion of assets that could be reached in a liability judgment.
Both charts auto-populate from policy data and financial plan data already in the platform. Advisors do not enter new data on the Protection Snapshot tab. They may view the charts, print a summary, or use Presentation Mode during a client meeting.
No. All system-generated copy is observational. It describes what the data shows, for example, “the dwelling limit represents 76% of the estimated replacement cost.” The copy does not tell clients what to do, and does not recommend coverage levels, carriers, or products.
No. The replacement cost estimate is sourced from Cotality (CoreLogic) data or an advisor-entered estimate. The copy identifies it explicitly as an estimate based on current construction data, not a certified appraisal.
The at-risk asset value is an advisor-entered figure representing the household's creditor-accessible assets, those not fully shielded by retirement account protections, homestead exemptions, or entity structures. Holistiplan does not calculate or verify this figure. It is entered by the advisor on the Policy Analysis tab and displayed as entered.
No. The Protection Snapshot displays policy data and financial plan data already in the platform. No new client data is collected as part of this feature. All data remains subject to Holistiplan's existing data agreements with your firm.
Yes. Before printing or presenting output, advisors may hide or edit any system-generated copy block. Hidden copy does not appear in print output or Presentation Mode. Edited copy replaces the system-generated version.
That is a determination for your compliance team. The feature is an extension of the existing P&C Insurance report and does not introduce new data practices, advice generation, or client-facing products. Firms that have already approved the P&C Insurance report for advisor use will find this feature is consistent in scope with that approval.
